Ein Münchner im Himmel

The story follows Alois Hingerl, a porter at the Munich train station, who unexpectedly finds himself in heaven. St. Peter introduces him to the divine house rules, which include rejoicing and singing hallelujah. However, Alois is less than pleased with the heavenly offerings, particularly the lack of Munich beer. His displeasure escalates as he grapples with the expectations of the afterlife.

In a fit of indignation, Alois's singing causes quite a stir among the heavenly residents, prompting him to confront the Lord. Ultimately, he is tasked with delivering a divine message to the Bavarian government, leading to a humorous return to Munich. The film cleverly juxtaposes the heavenly experience with Bavarian traditions, making it a unique addition to the animation genre.
