Ein Polterabend

The story unfolds in Berlin during 1849, following the democrat Adolf Glasbrenner, also known as Brennglas. He publishes a political satire magazine called "Phosphor" while attempting to marry his lover, actress Adele Peroni. Their plans are complicated when Adele is invited to perform at the Royal Prussian Playhouse, creating tension between her career and their relationship.

Brennglas, determined to make his marriage happen, enlists the help of his friend Pulecke to disrupt Adele's performance with a bachelor party. This comedic narrative combines romance with social commentary, making it a unique piece of cinema from its era.
