Einfach Blumen aufs Dach

The story follows Hannes Blaschke, a mechanic, and his wife Maxi, a bus driver, who face transportation issues after becoming parents of twins. Their small Trabant is no longer sufficient for their family, which also includes two sons and a dog. With the help of a state secretary, Hannes acquires a luxurious Tschaika limousine, typically reserved for official use, at a low cost.

While Maxi sees the Tschaika as a practical solution, Hannes revels in the status it brings him, leading to humorous tensions with his colleagues. The film explores themes of humility and family life through comedic scenarios, particularly as Hannes's newfound pretensions are addressed in a lighthearted manner.
