Elektra - Geneva

In this film, Queen Clytemnestra assassinates King Agamemnon, leading their daughter, Elektra, to seek vengeance for her father's death. The story explores the intense emotional and moral conflicts faced by Elektra as she grapples with her desire for revenge.

The production features a unique scenic device, a steel tower weighing almost twelve tons, which rotates throughout the performance. This innovative staging is complemented by the musical direction of Jonathan Nott and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, who tackle the complexities of Strauss' one-act score.

Elektra is performed by a talented cast, with Ingela Brimberg portraying the titular character, supported by Sara Jakubiak as Chrysothemis and Tanja Ariane Baumgartner as Clytemnestra.
