Escape

The story centers on husband-and-wife doctors Paul and Kim Jordan, who seek a fresh start after the loss of their baby. Their journey leads them to Thailand, where Paul, portrayed by C. Thomas Howell, is kidnapped by human traffickers and forced to perform surgery on their injured leader. Meanwhile, Kim is left to navigate a foreign country in search of her missing husband.

As Paul endures captivity, he is joined by Malcolm Andrews, played by John Rhys-Davies. Their discussions reveal contrasting beliefs about faith and existence in the face of suffering.
