Executive Protection is one of those films that treads the line between gritty realism and over-the-top action, which is kind of its charm. Falk, played by a solid lead, is thrust back into chaos after being stuck behind a desk, something that just doesn’t sit right with him. You feel his frustration throughout the film. The pacing has this nice ebb and flow, where the quieter moments build tension before erupting into gunfights and car chases that feel raw and unfiltered. The practical effects are a breath of fresh air, not overly reliant on CGI. Themes of loyalty and betrayal run deep, especially in Falk's relationships, making the stakes feel real. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but that adds to its unique character.
