Feathers is really an interesting piece. It dives deep into the psyche of Elizier, a boy grappling with a heavy past and the harsh reality of boarding school life. The director's choice to keep the tone somber and introspective adds a layer of authenticity to Elizier’s struggle. The pacing can feel a bit slow at times, but it allows for moments of reflection that really hit home. The hazing scenes are raw, maybe a bit hard to watch, but they capture the cruelty of adolescence quite well. Performances are pretty solid, especially from the lead, who brings a subtlety to the character that’s quite compelling. Overall, it’s distinct for its focus on emotional depth rather than typical dramatic tropes.
