Fire Below Deck

The film centers on Otto Scheidel, portrayed by Manfred Krug, who has spent over two decades as the captain of the Elbe steamer Jenissei. As the last of its kind, the ship is set to be transformed into a floating restaurant, prompting Otto to refuse a new job and instead join a railway construction brigade. This decision strains his relationship with his girlfriend Caramba, played by Renate Krößner.
