Fire Serpent is one of those oddball TV movies that really tries to blend horror with sci-fi but never quite lands. The premise is interesting—alien creatures coming from the sun—definitely sounds like a setup for some wild visuals. The practical effects have a certain charm, albeit a bit rough around the edges. The pacing is typical of early 2000s TV flicks, with some slow moments that drag but also some effective tension-building scenes. The performances are pretty hit-or-miss, but you can sense the effort from the cast. Overall, it’s a quirky experience, not for everyone, but it has some unique moments that make you appreciate that era of filmmaking.
