First Impression

The film follows Vernon Richardson and Imani Townsend, who serendipitously meet at a jazz club and discover they're a perfect match on an internet dating site. As they fall in love with each other’s true selves, external circumstances and misconceptions create obstacles in their relationship.

Vernon, an aspiring writer, takes a job at Townsend Publishing, where Imani works, setting up a critical moment where their lives intersect. The narrative explores themes of identity and authenticity as Vernon struggles with his own false persona, leading to misunderstandings that push Imani away.
