First Love

This coming-of-age film centers on Sataka, who faces the emotional fallout of a breakup and her mother's hospitalization. While dealing with these challenges, she discovers a love letter written to her mother 24 years prior, prompting her to seek out its author, Shinichiro, portrayed by Hiroyuki Sanada.

Shinichiro is an out-of-shape man living a solitary life, and Sataka's determination leads her to help him reinvent himself. As they build a friendship, their lives begin to intersect in meaningful ways. The film explores themes of connection, personal growth, and the complexities of love across generations.
