So, Fled is one of those mid-90s action flicks that has a certain raw energy. Directed by Kevin Hooks, it blends a prison escape with a cyber-hacker twist, which was kind of novel for its time. The chemistry between the leads, Laurence Fishburne and Stephen Baldwin, is pretty interesting. You've got this disdainful buddy-cop vibe amidst a backdrop of Mafia intrigue. Pacing can be a bit uneven, but the atmosphere of danger and desperation keeps you engaged. Practical effects are decent, though some scenes feel dated now. It’s not groundbreaking, but there's a certain charm in its chaos, the way it tackles themes of trust and survival in the face of overwhelming odds.
