Food Luck!

Food Luck! follows Yoshito, who grew up in the shadow of his mother Yasue's yakiniku restaurant after the death of his father. As a child, he relished his mother’s cooking and the warmth of their family business. However, the restaurant's reputation falters due to false claims made by a food critic, leading to a drastic decline in customers. In an attempt to regain control, Yasue decides to close the restaurant, which creates tension in their mother-son relationship.

Fast forward 18 years, Yoshito has become a freelance writer living alone. He takes on a new assignment related to yakiniku, which brings back memories of his past and his mother. The film delves into the complexities of their relationship as they navigate the repercussions of their shared history.
