The film centers on İlhan, a psychology graduate student who faces societal pressures and personal challenges. As she approaches menopause, she decides to have a child and enters into an arrangement with Mustafa, which leads them to his family’s village house for the duration of her pregnancy.

Interwoven with İlhan's story is that of a five-year-old girl named Zel, who has just lost her grandmother.
