Seventeen-year-old Navid embarks on a journey from his small village to a bustling port city, seeking a teaching position in Persian literature. While waiting for a response from the Education Center, he takes on various odd jobs. His life takes a romantic turn when he meets a girl who seems to embody a figure from his dreams.

However, Navid's path is not without obstacles. A series of events, including a stint in jail, lead him to lose his teaching opportunity to the very girl he has fallen for. Feeling defeated, he decides to leave the city by boat, only to encounter another girl whom he believes is the woman from his dreams.
