G-Loc is one of those films that tries to balance a gritty atmosphere with the vastness of space. The whole premise of Bran's flight to Rhea sets a tone that’s both desperate and adventurous. The dynamic between him and Ohsha is rough around the edges; their initial instincts to kill each other give way to a more layered relationship as they face external threats together. The pacing gets a bit wonky at times, but the practical effects, especially during the meteorite scenes, add a raw feel that's often missed in modern sci-fi. The performances have a certain grit, especially from the lead, who brings a surprising depth to his role. It’s distinctive in how it explores themes of survival and distrust amid chaos.
