The story follows Janusz, who begins his new job as an inspector at a department store. When he catches a woman stealing a bottle of perfume, he chooses to let her go. This decision leads him to uncover that the woman, Monika Małecka, is a leader of a prominent political party preparing for parliamentary elections.

As Janusz and Monika's relationship develops, it becomes increasingly complicated, marked by distrust and emotional neglect. The film delves into the challenges they face, ultimately leading to the inevitable end of their connection.
