The film follows Wojtek, who at 30 years old still believes in the legend of a giant fish in a nearby lake. His obsession with catching this mythical creature contrasts with his mother's attempts to mold his life into something more conventional. Wanda, his overprotective mother, strives to arrange his future by finding him a girlfriend, buying an apartment, and steering him towards a career in marketing.
