This film tells the story of a young peasant who wishes to marry but faces the cruel choice of a despotic sovereign who claims the bride for a night through the "ius primae noctis". In her despair, the young woman turns to a Satanic cult, leading to her confrontation with the tyrant upon his return from a campaign. Her tragic fate inspires a rebellion among the oppressed peasants against their lords.
