Gimme Kudos

The film follows Yang Hongqi, an old-fashioned middle-aged man who claims to have saved a university student from danger on a rainy night in Nanjing. His desperate plea for public acknowledgment leads him to Gu Guoge, a reporter who initially dismisses his request but eventually gets drawn into the investigation.

As Gu begins to verify Yang's claims, he encounters the victim, Ouyang Hua, but struggles with the lack of witnesses. The story unfolds to reveal Yang's motives rooted in familial pride, as he seeks to earn a commendation that he believes will bring honor to his father before it's too late.
