Glamour (2020) has this gritty, moody vibe that's hard to shake off. Directed by Richard J. Perry, it pulls you into the dark side of the fashion world with a plot centered around a detective who's really hit rock bottom. The mystery itself is unsettling—models being murdered in such a ruthless way. It evokes this eerie atmosphere; you can almost feel the tension in the air. The pacing is deliberate, allowing the suspense to build as our lead tries to untangle the web. The performances, especially from the detective, really ground the film. And there are some practical effects that, while not over-the-top, add a nice layer of realism to the horror of it all. It's not your run-of-the-mill thriller for sure.
