Glorifying the American Girl

The film follows a young woman who works in a department store's sheet music department while aspiring to join the Follies. Her childhood friend, who plays piano for her, is in love with her, but she remains focused on her career. When a vaudeville performer invites her to partner with him, she views it as a chance to make her dreams a reality.

Upon her arrival in New York City, she quickly realizes that her new partner's intentions are not aligned with her aspirations, as he attempts to leverage their partnership for his own desires. However, her talent catches the attention of a Ziegfeld representative, opening new doors for her.
