Großglocknerliebe

The film follows Johanna, a librarian who, after being abandoned by her partner, contemplates ending her life at a railroad crossing. At that moment, Uwe, a car mechanic also dealing with heartbreak, intervenes and saves her, creating an unexpected bond between them.

As the plot unfolds, Johanna is taken to a mental hospital where her eccentric uncle resides. He believes he is a knight from the 13th century and is on a quest to reunite with Johanna's deceased mother, convinced he can achieve this by discovering a mythical time hole that opens every seven years on the Großglockner. The comedic elements of the film stem from these quirky characters and their intertwining fates, making it a distinctive entry in the genre.
