Harat

"Harat" follows Sepideh and Darya, a mother and daughter duo embarking on a journey across several countries. They travel from Paris to Tehran and beyond the Afghanistan border, using their two video cameras to document their experiences. This blend of personal storytelling and travelogue brings to life the landscapes and communities they visit, all while capturing the voices and faces of family members they reunite with.

The film gives insight into the complex nature of family connections, often separated by distance and differing paths in life. As they travel by air, train, and car, the bond between mother and daughter is highlighted through their shared experiences and the story they create together.
