Heartbreak

The film follows Dimitris Dalikis, a former bank owner who faces bankruptcy and returns to Greece. Struggling with despair, he meets Anna, a widow with a young son named Stefanos. In a moment of heroism, Dimitris injures himself while saving Stefanos, resulting in paralysis and further misfortune for both families.

As time passes, Stefanos grows up to become a prosecutor, navigating his own life and relationships, particularly with his fiancée Rania. Anna, his mother, watches from a distance, highlighting the film's exploration of familial bonds and the long-lasting effects of past traumas. Heartbreak provides a poignant look at the struggles faced by its characters and their eventual paths toward resolution.
