Heaven and Earth

Created as a continuously running video installation, Heaven and Earth presents a striking visual experience through its setup. A wood column stretches from floor to ceiling, housing two video monitors facing each other just inches apart. Each monitor presents a silent black-and-white image that contrasts life and death: the upper monitor shows a close-up of an elderly woman nearing death, while the lower monitor features a newborn baby just days old.

The installation's design allows viewers to see reflections of the opposite screen, deepening the interplay between the two images.
