Heliocentrum

Heliocentrum presents a unique fusion of documentary filmmaking and computer animation. It portrays Louis XIV and the opulence of Versailles, juxtaposing historical imagery with modern references, including elements reminiscent of a Rudolf Valentino film and the aesthetics of Blade Runner.

The runtime of just 11 minutes allows for a concise exploration of the seventeenth-century origins of our contemporary fascination with special effects and media culture. The film incorporates actual footage from the Poll Tax Riots, intertwining past and present in a provocative visual narrative.
