So, Hide and Seek from 2013, it's got this creeping atmosphere that digs under your skin. Sung-soo, played quite well, is a man seemingly having it all, then you have this missing brother, Sung-chul, who brings all these buried memories to the surface. The pacing really keeps you on edge, mixing that slow burn with sudden bursts of tension. It's the kind of film that makes you think about family ties and the shadows they cast, you know? A lot of the effects are practical, which adds a gritty realism that’s refreshing. Not the most high-profile director, but the cast pulls you in despite that, especially with the way they handle these complex relationships. Definitely a unique take on the mystery-thriller genre.
