Inside a bathroom, a woman undergoes a transformation, not into water, but into her identity. The film takes place in an oneiric and liminal space, presenting an experimental narrative that critiques everyday actions such as eliminating, changing, and washing.

Highlighters refracts these banal routines through the prism of identity, questioning what we flush away and what we hide with cosmetics. The film refuses to provide clear answers, instead existing in a space where meaning is elusive and selfhood seems to wash away.
