Hindustan Hamara

The story follows Veena, played by Jamuna Barua, who is the daughter of an exploitative landlord. Married to Chunilal, a drunkard portrayed by Hari Shivdasani, she defies her family's expectations and advocates for the rights of exploited peasants. Her journey leads her to fall in love with the impoverished Madhu, which adds complexity to her struggle.

The film explores themes of class conflict and nationalism, employing Gandhian symbols such as the spinning wheel to emphasize its message. The narrative culminates in a tragic turn when Chunilal, unable to suppress the unity of the peasants, takes his own life, leading to Veena's disinheritance by her father.
