Historien om Kim Skov

The story follows Kim, a boy who moves from the countryside to a ghetto in a big city with his family. Struggling academically, he becomes a target for bullies in his new school. When the leader of the bullies transfers to a private school, Kim finds himself accepted into the gang, but only under the condition that he supplies cigarettes.

This leads to significant conflicts with his teachers, family, and ultimately the gang. The film presents a raw depiction of the pressures children face in their formative years, set against the backdrop of urban life in the early 1980s. With a focus on the social struggles and moral dilemmas of youth, Historien om Kim Skov offers a compelling look at adolescence during a transformative era in Denmark's cinematic history.
