Homage to Chen Da

The documentary follows Chen Da, who was born in 1905 and learned traditional Taitung-style songs as a child. It captures his experiences as a cowherd and fisherman, detailing his travels from Hengchun to Taitung. At the age of 20, he embarked on a career as a wandering minstrel, performing in various locations.

Homage to Chen Da not only focuses on his life story but also features his singing in different settings, including his hometown and the well-known Scarecrow Restaurant in Taipei. This film serves as a tribute to his contributions to traditional music and the cultural heritage of Taiwan.
