How Are The Kids?

This film features a collection of six stories, each highlighting the challenges children face due to poverty, violence, and societal issues. In "Hassane," a malnourished child in Niger is unable to receive medical help due to village traditions. "Liouba" follows a boy who escapes to the forest after abuse at home, only to find that his games reflect his troubled reality.

"Boy" tells the story of a child dealing with discrimination as the only white student in his school. "Carmelo" portrays a street child in Bogota who struggles for survival amidst adversity. The film also includes "Oca," where a seven-year-old must take on his deceased brother's responsibilities, highlighting the harsh demands of family and survival. Lastly, "L'enfance de l'art" reveals how children in a war zone are impacted by violence while trying to maintain their innocence.
