Human Nature is a quirky exploration of civility versus wildness, wrapped in a blend of comedy and drama that only Michel Gondry can deliver. The offbeat narrative revolves around Nathan, the obsessive scientist, and Lila, the naturalist, who find themselves embroiled in a strange love triangle with Puff, a man raised in the wild. The film plays with themes of nature versus nurture, and the performances are wonderfully eccentric, especially from Rhys Ifans as Puff, who really embodies that wild spirit. The pacing has a unique rhythm, often moving from absurdity to introspection. Plus, Gondry’s signature practical effects add a distinctive flavor that makes it visually engaging, adding layers to the already rich themes at play.
