The story follows Hannelore Reitzler, who elopes with her boyfriend only to face abandonment when he fails to fulfill her expectations. Left with no choice but to stay at the Hotel Liebesnest, she takes a job as a chambermaid, which includes providing sexual favors to guests for extra income.

In parallel, the film introduces a female cat burglar who frequents Das Liebesnest, getting caught repeatedly and resorting to seduction as a means to escape. The comedic elements arise from the absurdity of the situations the characters find themselves in, showcasing the dynamics of relationships and the lengths to which individuals go for love and survival.
