In Midsummer

The film follows Andrii Troian and Volodymyr Ruban, former classmates at an agricultural academy. After Ruban moves to a village to work, Troian develops a new wheat variety called Maria and is invited to test it as chief agronomist at Ruban's state farm. Their partnership becomes strained due to conflicting leadership styles and methods.

Troian’s personal life adds another layer of complexity, especially his romantic involvement with the schoolteacher, Maria. This intertwining of professional and personal challenges creates a rich narrative that reflects the trials faced in both work and relationships.
