The film follows a passionate student who stands up against injustices at his university, resulting in his expulsion. As he grapples with the consequences of his choices, he loses his girlfriend and stable living conditions, ultimately finding work as a coal deliverer. This new life brings him face-to-face with tragedy when he witnesses a fatal accident at work.

In response to his experiences, he attempts to write a story based on his life, which gains interest from a publishing house. However, his refusal to make necessary changes leads to the story's rejection. Eventually, the narrative is commercialized and adapted into a successful film, leading to fame for the original author. This film reflects on themes of integrity, sacrifice, and the complexities of artistic expression during tumultuous times.
