Iputok mo... Dadapa Ako!!! is this peculiar blend of action and comedy that really captures the quirks of early '90s Filipino cinema. You’ve got Bruce, played by Vic Sotto, as this endearing hillbilly, and his cousin Maryo, portrayed by Francis Magalona, brings a great dynamic to their misadventures in Manila after their grandfather kicks the bucket. The pacing is a bit off sometimes, but that just adds to its charm. Rita Avila as Olga injects a nice romantic subplot. The practical effects in the action sequences, while not groundbreaking, add a certain raw energy to the film. It’s one of those films you can’t help but enjoy for its oddity and earnestness.
