The narrative centers on Nurhadi, nicknamed Hadi, who volunteers to fight against Malaysia despite not being a student activist. His lover, Wati, attempts to prevent him from going, even feigning pregnancy to secure their marriage. However, Hadi is determined to join the fight, leading to a tragic series of events when his group is intercepted during their mission.

As the story unfolds, Hadi survives a firefight, only to be rescued by Latifah and his father, Somad. He adopts a false identity as a fisherman stranded on the beach. Meanwhile, Wati believes Hadi is still alive and travels to Malaysia, only to discover his new life with Latifah, who is pregnant.
