Iron Man 2 is a bit of a mixed bag, really. Favreau brings back that same playful tone from the first one, but it feels like a bridge film to something bigger. The pacing is a tad uneven, especially with all the setup for the Avengers. You get some standout performances, particularly from Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer, who's got this slick, almost desperate charm. The practical effects are still impressive, though some of the CGI feels a bit dated now. The themes of legacy and personal responsibility are more pronounced as Stark grapples with his father's shadow. It’s worth watching just for the character development and the way it expands on the Iron Man mythos.
Released on May 7, 2010, in the US.Runtime: 124 minutes, rated PG-13.Shot primarily in California and Monaco.Contains a mix of practical effects and CGI.
