The story follows Splash, a bored surfer from Southern California, who seeks excitement in Provincetown, believing it to be a haven for heterosexuals. Instead, he finds himself the target of unwanted advances from gay men and struggling to connect with the local women. Just as he's about to give up and return home, he meets Axel, the self-proclaimed 'King of the Straight Scene', who introduces him to Jennifer, sparking a romantic connection.
