When not working as a hairdresser, Jan embraces his role as a cowboy, participating in parades and showcasing his passion for horses.

Jan's horse, Cloude Rochelle, holds a special place in his life, often being referred to as the woman of his life. His wife, Lisbeth, plays a supportive role, described as the 'second lady' in Jan's life.
