Jimami Tofu

The film follows a Chinese Singaporean chef who, after an emotional breakup, travels to Okinawa to learn traditional Okinawan cuisine from a reluctant old chef. Meanwhile, a Japanese food critic embarks on a journey to discover Southeast Asian flavors, unaware that she is searching for the same person he is. Their paths converge as they both confront their past and the cultural balance that eluded them in their relationship.

Jimami Tofu features a diverse cast including Jason Chan, Mari Yamamoto, and Rino Nakasone. The narrative intertwines food and emotion, showcasing how culinary art can serve as a medium for healing and connection. As the chef learns to master Okinawan cuisine, he ultimately prepares a final meal for his lost love, symbolizing his search for closure and understanding.
