John Baker's Last Race

The film follows John Baker, a talented runner who excels in high school and college, setting records at the University of New Mexico. After earning his degree, he becomes a physical education teacher and coach at Aspen Elementary School. Known for his dedication to all his students, Baker finds innovative ways to include those with disabilities in athletics.

Upon learning of his terminal cancer diagnosis, Baker faces despair but ultimately chooses to focus on coaching and mentoring his students. He co-founds the Duke City Dashers, an all-girl track team, pouring his energy into helping them succeed. The narrative captures his journey as he aims to see his team win a national title, highlighting the impact of his determination and commitment to the sport and his students.
