JOINT

The film centers on Ishigami Takeshi, who has just completed a two-year prison sentence. He initially seeks a fresh start in Tokyo, buoyed by his construction job and support from his friend Yasu. However, the temptation of his previous life proves to be too strong as he becomes involved in selling data for phone fraud to his Yakuza contact, Yuki.

As Takeshi's new venture grows, he struggles with the pull of his past connections, especially as tensions rise within the Yakuza family. The film delves into themes of loyalty, desperation, and the difficulty of escaping the clutches of organized crime. It offers a gritty look at the lengths one might go to in order to break free from a life of crime while confronting the inevitable consequences of those choices.
