Joyful Mystery

The story follows three impoverished friends whose lives change dramatically after an airplane crashes in the mountains near their village. Instead of aiding the victims, they and the villagers rush to the crash site to loot the valuables, discovering a large sum of money in a dead American's briefcase. Their newfound wealth draws the attention of the town mayor, who plots to reclaim the money through abduction and manipulation.

Joyful Mystery explores dark themes such as corruption and moral decay in a gripping narrative set against the backdrop of the Philippines.
