Jurassic Park III has a different vibe than its predecessors; it feels more rushed but still delivers some solid tension. Joe Johnston brings a slightly darker atmosphere, though it seems to be trying to balance fan service with new thrills. The pacing can feel uneven, especially in how quickly the story moves to the action. The practical effects are worth noting, with some impressive animatronics and set pieces that still hold up, even if the CGI is a bit dated. Sam Neill returns, and his chemistry with the new cast adds some charm, even if the script isn't the strongest. There’s a certain sense of nostalgia here mixed with a desperate survival tone that does give it a unique flavor within the franchise.
