Kaidan

Set 250 years ago, Kaidan tells the story of Soetsu, a moneylender murdered by the samurai Shinzaemon, whose body is cast into the Kasenega-Fuchi river. According to legend, those who drown in this river are doomed to never return. Two decades later, Shinkichi, the son of Shinzaemon, unexpectedly encounters Toyoshiga, the daughter of Soetsu, sparking a tragic romance that intertwines the living and the dead.
