Kakashi is a curious horror film that veers away from the usual tropes. It builds a slow-burning tension, capturing the eerie isolation of the village Kozukata. The atmosphere is thick, almost oppressive, and you can feel Kaoru's desperation as she searches for her brother. The locals are unsettling, and that adds a layer of dread. Not to mention the practical effects, which, while not groundbreaking, have a certain charm that enhances the overall experience. The performances, especially from the character Sally, bring a subtle depth to the story. It’s not the most polished film out there, but it has a unique vibe that lingers with you long after the credits roll.
A blend of horror and mystery.Interesting take on isolation and fear. Not widely known, but has its own charm.
