Kamla

In 'Kamla', the main character is a dedicated psychiatrist who faces societal scrutiny as an unmarried woman in her 40s. Living with her elderly father, she navigates the pressures from her aunt to find a husband while developing a relationship with a writer who advocates for love and women's rights.

The film also introduces a new patient, Asmaa, a poor prostitute battling severe depression. Through her work with Asmaa, Kamla discovers shared struggles that connect them as women.
